29-2nd February - Designing!!!

It was finally time to start creating my design Moodboard to help me design and give me inspiration in what type of clothing I'd like to make. I knew I had to make trousers and s jacket, but I decided to put my own spin on it and create a pair of baggy shorts, this relates to I-d as they have this streetwear style which I relate back to baggy shorts. I also decided to match this with a cropped jacket as thIs pairs really well together and also adds to this streetwear style.

Carrying on our with experiments I tried out a technique where you place a flower paste over a board and let it dry. You then scratch out your design and then place paint over it and scrape it down onto paper creating a print. I really enjoyed how these turned out because of how vibrant the colours where. I also decided to try printing several times on one piece of paper in different directions to create a more abstract look, this created a really yinetresting look but some of them turned out a bit messy which I didn't enjoy as much.

My favourite two I decided to place in repeated patterns to see if I could use these on my garments.
