Moving on from constructing my blouse, I then started to construct my blouse. When I planned my time I had underestimated how long it would take me to finish constructing it all. In all took me a few more hours than I had planned but I had left sometime as a catch up day so I was still on task and not behind.
The only element I was not happy with is one of my button wholes as I had to unpick it and resew it a couple of times as the tread stitches was to tight and therefore I couldn't cut in-between for the button to go through.
This then led to the fabric looking messy and not how I would like it to of looked.
apart from this I'm really happy with how the overall blouse looks, the added extra details such as a the ruffles has created unity through the blouse.
I also really enjoy the look of the elastic and lace on the sleeves as this has created a delicate and feminine touch to the blouse which the blouse is traditional supposed to be very feminine.

Once I had finished constructing the blouse I moved onto the overskirt. I started off by sewing the quarter circle skirt to each side of the half circle skirts. This was so I could then start pleating the back which incorporates my Scottish heritage, I then transferred this to the other fabric so when the skirt is bagged out you can see the pleats from each side. I'm rally happy with how this turned out, as I left the peats more so in the middle which left movement at the bottom of the skirt and created almost a bustle near the bottom area which is really effective.
I was also pleased with how my fabric turned out for this a I had got my own tartan pattern that I had made printed onto fabric. I got this printed onto denim and then brought proper tartan in cotton, the two different fabric textures look really effective and give added texture to the outfit.
The colors from my own printed tartan works really well and compliments my dress fabric color, tried to match these as lose as I could when buying my fabric so I am happy with how it turned out.
Finished overksirt when down and transformed into a cloak. ⬇️
Over the weekend I then held a photoshoot for me to create a zine to showcase my work. I took photos inspired by German and and Scottish photographers work and also a few o y own ideas. I am hoping to also have filler pages that I will create next week.
Overall I am really happy with how this photoshoot turned out and after sorting them out I have lot of photos I can use within my booklet showcasing different locations and the different styles of my outfit.
My next steps is to start making this zine next week.
