26th - 1st / Finishing up pattern crazy!!!

This week I then needed to create my shorts. I gave myself all week to construct them as I thought it would be a good idea to give myself enough time to make them as I haven't got a lot of experience in creating shorts - only in my toile. I gave myself a plan of what I needed done by each day and this really helped me keep to a plan and it helped my time management.

Overall I really enjoy how these came out and I think my construction skills have really improved since the last assignment. I think time planning well and having goals for each day really helped me plan out my time so I could spend longer constructing the shorts, which meant my construction skills were overall better than previous.

As my theme was the construction of an i-D magazine I decided to create a magazine of my own inspired by i-D. Including a front page with the iconic wink, photos inspired by one of the i-D photographers work and my own photos. I think creating this magazine really completed and wrapped up my assignment well and also added on extra work more directed to promotion which is what I would like to do when I leave.

The class have also decided to create a promotional video of everyone's pattern crazy outfits and I have been appointed director of this video. So I had to think of some ideas for the video and present them to the class. This went really well and we managed to sort out some ideas of where this would be filmed and whose filming etc. I have also deiced to collaborate with one of our piers contacts and he is going to create some music for us to use for the video. My idea front he video is that everyone will be stepping out a vintage looking car in their outfits, like a clown car and also add some filler videos of people interacting with the car.

My next steps are to contact some people and ask if we can use their carpark.
