This week I was carrying on with my fjnak major project research this week as I didn't get a wide range of things done as this was my main focus. As this assignment is fifty percent of my final grade I really want to get a lot of work done and have it as best quality as I can so I planned extra time for ,y research as this is something I quite often rush doing.
I was looking into the German traditional garments, so the other side of my heritage to last week. I looked into things such as Dirndls and Ledehosens, how they are made, the traditions, the history behind them. I found this all really interesting as I grew up seeing photos of my family members wearing them and not understanding a lot about them.
I have also learnt over the past two weeks that the kilt and German traditional clothing are both a dying art and tradition which is really upsetting to see as they're such beautiful carefully made items and hold so much heritage and history within them.
Or in the cad elf lederhosen and dirndls they have become more of a party wear or costumes which are a take on the traditional garments.
This is why I choose to make my heritage my project as I would like to spread awareness and knowledge of these dying traditions.

At the end of the week I was helping out with the fashion show booklet and photographing our white on white dress and shirts we had made earlier this year to use them for the booklet. I really enjoy how these photos came out as I enjoy how the background doesn't overpower the garments and rather contrasts with them, allowing the garments to stand out.
I spoke to my collegues and we wanted very plain poses as we wanted the garments to be shown off and be focal point.
Here are some of my favourite photos! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
